Mango

Here’s a list of fruits that can easily be mistaken for mangoes (Pictured above) due to their shapes, colors, or skin textures:
1. Plum Mango

This fruit is named for its mango-like shape and skin color. It’s smaller than a typical mango but often has a similar golden-yellow hue and smooth surface.
2. Apricots

Apricots are much smaller but can resemble mini mangoes due to their rounded shape and yellow-orange skin.
3. Pawpaw (Michigan Banana)

Large, oblong, and green when unripe, pawpaw can resemble green mangoes, especially due to its soft, custardy interior when ripe.
4. White Sapote

Smooth-skinned and green to yellow when ripe, the white sapote’s shape and coloration can mimic that of certain mango varieties.
5. Peaches

Peaches share the rounded shape and golden-red blush of some mangoes, though their fuzzy skin distinguishes them up close.
6. Ambarella (June Plum)

Oval-shaped with green or yellow skin, ambarella can look like a green mango, especially when unripe.
7. Nectarines

Though usually smaller, nectarines can resemble small mangoes in their reddish-golden color and smooth, unblemished skin.
8. Hog Plum

Typically small and oval, hog plums share the green to yellow skin tones of mangoes and a similar rough texture when unripe.
9. Unripe Egg Fruit

In its early stages, egg fruit has a similar teardrop or oval shape and greenish-yellow color that can easily be mistaken for a small mango.
10. Kei Apple

These fruits are small and round, with a bright yellow-orange hue that can look mango-like in color, though they are firmer and more apple-shaped.
